The Avatar Special Edition is coming out TOMORROW! If you are too excited to wait, or if you aren't buying it but still would like to see some deleted scenes or documentary parts, visit the site:

Exploring the Special Edition DVD features can lead you to some new footage:

For instance, Grace and the school, what happened? Click the "Extended Cut" dvd and the first video is a long, beautiful, emotional segment that wasn't in the film, telling us the story. Also, a new scene (if you haven't seen the Avatar extended edition in theaters) of the Na'vi burning the bulldozer and more bits of the humans talking before Hometree is hit.

Click the Filmmaker Process dvd and see three different videos. One is brand new extended scene of Jake and Neytiri eating around the fire with the rest of the clan, half of it in finished CGI (which was shown on the theater extended edition) and the other half shot in unfinished animation with a small shot of Zoe and Sam acting their parts (it rocks!). Second, a filming documentary with interviews and stuff you may or may not have seen before. Third is a basic animation guide-line to deleted scenes.

An introduction to the process.. each video after this first main one is James explaining the clip that will be released before the dvd for a sneak peek...

Cameron will direct two sequels back-to-back, first to be released in 2014.

This being the 25th anniversary of Back To The Future, it's appropriate that we now know exactly what movie Marty McFly would have watched when he travelled to 2015: Avatar 3!

James Cameron and Fox have officially announced that he will direct Avatar 2 & 3 back-to-back, and that they will be released in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

In his statement to THR, Cameron said, "In the second and third films, which will be self contained stories that also fulfill a greater story arc, we will not back off the throttle of Avatar's visual and emotional horsepower, and will continue to explore its themes and characters, which touched the hearts of audiences in all cultures around the world. I'm looking forward to returning to Pandora, a world where our imaginations can run wild."

No word yet on whether Cameron plans to integrate 4-D this time around, where audiences actually get shot with N'avi arrows and join their hair braid with Jake's.

I'm a jewelry maker about to start a line of Avatar-themed jewelry and was seeing if anyone on LJ was interested. I do both hemp jewelry and jewelry strung on 49-strand wire. I utilize only glass, wood, stone, shell, bone, and other natural materials, never plastic.

Anyone interested? Any particular items you'd be interested in seeing done?

Thanks, and I apologize, mods, if this post is inappropriate.

Just when I thought that NOTHING could be more exciting or epic than the previously posted Collectors Edition trailer. Wow!! Those marketing people for Avatar really know how to do their jobs.

Also, there is a little bit more new footage for those who hasn't seen the special edition in theaters.
